Mount Field National Park, Tasmania.

Mount Field National Park is comprised of a plateau with deep glacial valleys and tarns and the ever popular Tarn Shelf. While the latter is often relatively busy, a sense of remoteness and adventure can be found here too. The area, with its high rounded peaks and rocky mass, reminds me somewhat of the Cairngorms in Scotland. Being in relatively close proximity to Hobart, I’ve visit the area numerous times.

The images here were captured on an informal Hobart Walking Club in the spring of 2024.
